The studio
Cageur Interactive is an independent game studio based in Indonesia. We are small - small enough that the person who answers your email is the person who wrote the code.
The name
Cageur is a Sundanese word meaning healthy, or well. It stands first in a line every Sundanese child learns - cageur, bageur, bener, pinter, singer: healthy, kind, honest, clever, alert. Health comes first, and the rest follows from it.
It seemed a reasonable thing to name a studio after: make things that leave people better than they were found, not more anxious.
What we believe
A game should be honest about itself
If a leaderboard cannot show real players, it should not invent them. If a shop cannot sell anything yet, it should say so rather than show a broken price. We would rather ship something plain and true than something polished and misleading.
Your time is not a resource we mine
No mechanic in our games exists to make you play longer than you wanted to. No energy bar to wait out. No streak built to punish you for a day off.
Offline first
A game you gave your attention to should still work on a train, on a plane, or on a bad connection. Ours do.
